University of Michigan Sound Support

Sound Support is a grant funded outreach program created to provide support to families, professionals, and educators of children with hearing loss in the state of Michigan. This grant allows us to provide ongoing support to students with hearing loss through on-site and virtual collaboration with educational teams, as well professional development opportunities to professionals who work with the deaf or hard of hearing (D/HH) community. In addition to school visits and in-services, we offer roundtable educational events, no cost continuing education webinars, conferences, and workshops and a family mentorship program. If you’d like more information on any of the services we offer or on how you can get involved, please contact our sound support coordinator Emma Brooks at oto-soundsupportci@med.umich.edu or 734-647-0082.
